Government Polytechnic Kohima (GPK)
Government Polytechnic Kohima (GPK) was established in the year 1994. It was initially a Women’s Polytechnic catering only to girls but was later made co-educational in 2002 in order to accommodate boys also since it was the only Polytechnic in the Capital of the State. It is a Government-aided Polytechnic which is functioning under the aegis of State Council for Technical Education (SCTE) under the Directorate of Technical Education. GPK is situated on a hillock about 5 (five) kilometers away from and overlooking the heart of the capital town Kohima and is currently offering the following three years, AICTE-approved diploma programmes:
